Hong Kong Wind Ensemble

Established in August 2006, the Hong Kong Wind Ensemble (HKWE) is a government authorized non-profit making organization. The objective of the HKWE is to bring together a group of young music enthusiasts and provide them a platform to make and enjoy music together. Under the mentor of our experienced tutors and conductor, our members can develop their skills on ensemble playing and enhance their playing techniques. Apart from the regular weekly rehearsals, the HKWE also invites various artists and artistic groups to give masterclasses, workshops and lectures. These vast diversity of trainings can stimulate the members to seek musical knowledge from all aspects.
The HKWE is honored to have Dr. Thomas E. Verrier, Director of Wind Studies and Associate Professor of Music at Vanderbilt University-Blair School of Music and artistic director and conductor of the Vanderbilt Wind Ensembles, as our Artistic Advisor.
